Kidcation Day School for Early Learners is a Jesus focused education program that focuses on play and worship. We provide age appropriate lessons where children are met at their level and encouraged to grow. Our Montessori styled classroom provides an atmosphere that enables independence under our watchful care. Our teachers have vast knowledge and experience in early childhood education and cannot wait to garner your trust in helping your child to become lifelong learners and lovers of Jesus.

Kidcation Director
As the children know and love, Ms. Kim is just a big kid, a child of God. Shortly after moving to North Carolina in 2015, she joined The Gathering family and faithfully served as a volunteer in the children’s ministry. In 2020, she returned to school to pursue her degree in Early Childhood Education and went on to further her studies earning a Masters in Christian Counseling focusing on the parent and child relationship. Ms. Kim currently is the Children’s Core Ministry Director from birth to 4 at the Gathering, loving wife and mother, who hopes to further the kingdom by bridging local churches for God’s glory. The summer of 2024 brought about even more exciting changes as we brought the community Kidcation! We are excited to watch the program grow as we serve God and His children.
Kristie Kirk Grubb
Lead Teacher
A lifelong native, Topsail High School and East Carolina graduate, lovingly referred to as Ms. Kristie, will be the lead teacher at Kidcation Day School. Ms. Kristie has a charismatic personality and a serving heart. She is deeply known and loved in the community as a former Onslow County Teacher, Surf City Parks and Recreation Director and Teacher’s Instructional Assistant. She has been faithfully serving the community as the 3 and 4 year old Sunday School teacher with the Gathering since 2012. We are blessed to know your children will be lovingly taught in her care.
Things to send with the child:
1. Lunch, Snack, Water
2. Full change of clothes of clothes (socks, underwear) in labeled ziplock bag with name on it
3. Closed toe shoes (i.e. Tennis shoes / sneakers / crocs)
4. A good Godly attitude
5. MUST have permission slip signed and turned in
6. Parent contact information (2 numbers listed included with Registration Form)

Parents will need to sign the registration and permission form. Please fill one form out for each kid.
That can be done online or by emailing the PDF file to khassel@chapelbaychurch.com.
The minimum donation for each kid is the total monthly fee paid for that month in advance to reserve a spot at Kidcation.
The totals are listed on the Registration Form.
If you would like to sponsor another child you can do that as well just a special note when you give.
